She is known for her work as an entrepreneur, author, speaker, LinkedIn influencer and TV personality. Simson has received a number of recognitions throughout the years. She has written three books I Want What She's Having, Live What You Love and Ready to Soar. She has been a part of the Australian television show Shark tank since its inception in 2015. She was also ranked to be one of the top tech influencer on LinkedIn and Twitter. She won the Lifetime Achievement Silver Stevie Award in 2013, the National Telstra Business Women's Award for Innovation in 2008 and the Ernst Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011 (Hanke, 2016). During the initial days in her career, she worked in various big organizations like KPMG, Apple and IBM in the marketing area of expertise. So, she gained a lot of experience and skills in the marketing roles by working in such big organizations and tried to learn various aspects of the business model of those organizations. This in turn allowed her to have a vision to have something of her own. In the year of 2001, she started her own business RedBalloon, an online experience gift retailer. She managed to make the business a success through her passion for work and amazing views on the business model of the organizations along with the responsibilities of the higher management of the organizations (Bruhn, 2013). Suggestions Naomi Simson has been working as a non-executive director in the board of directors of RedBalloon along with her other priorities. She has also been active as an author, blogger, social media influencer and TV personality, which always have allowed her to be in the limelight. She can also invest in other small and medium organizations with innovative and creative products resolving the real-time issue and needs. Along with the startups, she can also invest in the existing SMEs in order to tap into various other industries (Leigh, 2016). Her positive image in the society along with her popularity allows her to be brand ambassadors of various hospitality brands. One of the biggest recommendations to Naomi Simson would be the globalization of her existing business. RedBalloon can explore the opportunities provided by the international markets b eyond the border of Australia. The organization can start servicing the customers in the international markets to understand the demand of the products and services.
